Owned and operated by the Oken family since 1973, this historic ranch was once a refuge for the infamous outlaws, the Dalton brothers, before becoming a Guest Ranch in 1911, and a dude ranch resort in the 1940's. The Oken family has continued the ranch's reputation for country hospitality. The ranch is nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, amid acres of shady oaks and sycamores, next to the Kings River. It offers ten bed and breakfast cottages, all decorated in a Western flavor, each with a front deck. The cottages have private bath, in-room coffee service, refrigerator, telephone and satellite TV. The hearty continental breakfast is served in the beautiful Lakeshore Lodge overlooking Dalton Pond, or in one of the other more intimate dining rooms.
